Consultant, Adventure Ocean Program
Jeannette is a graduate of Texas State University - San Marcos and has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Recreation Administration with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. Prior to joining Royal Caribbean International, Jeannette worked for 2 years as an Activities Specialist for Austin Parks and Recreation, one of many recreation, day camp, and summer camp jobs she fulfilled in her home state of Texas. She volunteered her time with the Special Olympics - Texas as a Softball, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming and Bowling Coach.
In 2004, Jeannette joined Royal Caribbean International as a Youth Staff onboard Mariner of the Seas and was later promoted to Adventure Ocean Manager in 2006. Prior to joining our shoreside team in her current role, Jeannette had the opportunity to work for a year as a Project Specialist for the Oasis Start Up and assisted in all areas of Entertainment and Guest Activities for our then, newest ship in the fleet.
After 5 years of shipboard operational experience Jeannette joined our shoreside Guest Activities team in 2010 as the Adventure Ocean Specialist. She oversees the fleet youth and teen programs shipboard which carry an average annual headcount of 450,000 kids and teens. Jeannette directly supports our shipboard Adventure Ocean Managers and Assistant Adventure Ocean Managers in day to day operations including all new initiatives for youth and teens including our Nursery Operation which offers guests with babies and tots drop off service care. The Adventure Ocean Specialist is responsible for all family programming including some of our amazing partnership programs for kids and teens such as Fisher-Price, Crayola, DreamWorks and Barbie. Jeannette works collaboratively with her colleagues in the Guest Activities team as well as cross departmental teams to ensure the vacation experience for families onboard is second to none.
